I actually only had a sustained conversation with this guy once in my life (although said conversation was of quite a literary and philosophical turn), but I knew and admired his work with words and photography, and it's just weird and difficult to understand that someone you used to see pretty regularly, and somebody with so much artistic talent and promise, could come to such an ignominious end.
At least I spelled "ignominious" correctly the first time I tried. That's pretty cool, yeah?
